Rachel Armstrong, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

As a young adult, Rachel followed her dreams of becoming a professional dancer to New York where she received her bachelor's from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. Her work as a dancer, NASM personal trainer, and certified yoga instructor fostered a love for the human body in motion that led her to physical therapy. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado and has found that she enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities. Over the last couple of years, she has increased focus on female pelvic health and functional training, studying with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Therapy Rehabilitation and the Gray Institute.

She believes rehabilitation is a joint effort between the patient and the therapist in which both people work together in the recovery process to achieve the patient's unique goals and desired level of function. She can be found spending time outdoors with her family, hiking, skiing, or running and feels incredibly fortunate to join Winthrop PT and the Methow Valley community.
